Iconic singer set to perform at NFL Christmas Day halftime show

Streaming the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens NFL game on Christmas Day is a big deal for Netflix. If that wasn’t enough, the game’s halftime show will feature some Texas home cooking from one of the biggest musical artists in the world.
Beyonce will perform in her hometown on December 25 at NRG Stadium as a part of Netflix’s Christmas Day doubleheader. The Texas-born singer will perform at halftime, which kicks off at 4:25 p.m. Details of Beyonce’s performance have not been released, but Netflix confirms that it is “expected to feature some special guests who are featured on the Cowboy Carter album.” That could range from Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Shaboozey, and more. The performance will mark the first time Beyonce has performed songs from “Cowboy Carter” live.
“Cowboy Carter,” Beyonce’s eighth No. 1 album, was released in March and has been highly praised as one of the most influential country albums of all time. She has also received the most nominations for the 2025 Grammy Awards with 11, including Album of the Year.
Beyonce is no stranger to NFL performances. The beloved singer played Super Bowl XV in 2016 with Coldplay and Bruno Mars after performing at Super Bowl XLVII in 2013 with Destiny’s Child.
The announcement from Netflix comes days after the service hosted a boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, with some complaining about the quality of the stream.
